Cdt day 16
During the night it got down to 0°c. Collin actually had a temperature recorder. He is a big tech guy with all possibly goodies. We started wih the first sunlight to get to town. The weather was great with the sun out. But the wind was freezing cold. So one side of the body would be stiff and cold while the other one would be warm and sweating. Was an interesting experience. The trail was tough always going straight up and down. We did a shitload of elevation. We stopped at a spring at around 10 to eat and drink something because we were out of water since the morning. At that time Angelina catched up to us. She busted our campsite the last evening speaking like a waterfall and then heading on to lewis and clark pass which was the next water. She seemed to be a little confused. However she continued while we ate. We met her again when reaching the street. She was trying to get a hitch but arrived there maybe 15 min before us. I put my thumb out, too and after around 20 min we got a hitch for the 2 of us while collin and simple soul had to get another hitch. The guy in the car wasn’t that talkitive but he got us to town. We checked the 3 bears motel first but they were kinda weird so we went to the next one, the leepers, which had laundry and got our rooms for 50 each. They were also qzite nice and gave us the laundry detergent and some quarters for the laundry. After shower and laundry Angelina and me went to the bushmills where i had a double burger with fries and a lot of great talking. On the way back i picked up my bounce box from the post ofice to get my maps. Collin and simple soul got the room across mine. Yseman also came into town but stayed at the 3 bears. All of us got back to the bushmills for dinner. It took forever but it was great to hang out with all the through hikers.
